Chris Spah is always seeking out new spots to take photos. You may remember his photo of West Arbor Lake in the January 2016 issue. Last summer, Spah was able to attend Maple Grove Days for his second year in a row and he definitely plans on attending again this year, too.

 

Fruit is a muse to artists and chefs alike. It makes pretty subject matter in painted still lifes and adds dynamic flavor to delicious dishes. However, brimming with nutrients and freshness, fruit is much better experienced in a dish rather than studied through layers of paint.

 

Real estate agents who did business with Keller Williams received some appreciation at the Marriott Northwest in Brooklyn Park. Guest speaker David Arbit gave the keynote and one lucky Realtor won a big trip.

 

In 2007, avid musical theater performers Greg, Lori, Sharayah and Trevor Bunce looked at their busy schedules and decided to acquire rights and put on their very first backyard production—Oliver!—for friends, neighbors and an audience of about 500 people.

 

In 2005, Kelsey Ness took a job at Lynde Greenhouse. After three years, she realized that what she thought was simply a job had become her vocation.

 

Michael Morgan is a pretty typical (if accomplished) 18-year-old high school senior. His strongest subjects at Maple Grove Senior High School were math and science, and he is planning to study mechanical engineering at the University of St. Thomas.

 

Minnesotans never need to travel outside state lines for a breath of fresh northwoods air. And in Maple Grove, we’re one step closer to it—it’s in our backyard.

 

Maple Grove homeowners Dave and Cindy Rotter have a history of keeping their house up to date with the decorating trends. “We’ve redone the whole house, in sessions,” Cindy says.

 

With an average annual rainfall of 6,813 mm on 182 days a year, Milford Sound is known as the wettest inhabited place in New Zealand and one of the wettest in the world.

 

Maple Grove magazine is full of reflections of the community. We are the subjects of the stories and pictures, and sometimes we are also the photographers.

 

After giving birth to three children, experiencing the devastating loss of an infant and surviving late stage breast cancer, Amber Johnson found herself at a checkup, overweight and out of shape.

 

Our newest group of firefighters has already weathered a lot. They’ve been through stiff competition (more than 60 applicants), interviews, physical ability tests, background checks, psychological screening, physical and drug testing, orientation sessions, and now, five months of Fire Academy.
